Lovely spot in the country. The highlight is an old railway line that has been converted to a walking and biking trail.  Head up into the mountains for fresh air, or down towards the town for a wonderful dinner at the old railway station.

Susie is warm and welcoming and the accommodation is comfortable, a great place to stay.

My  fiance and I stayed at Shambala Retreat for two weeks.  It was beautiful, it really gave us the chance to unwind and relax.  Susie was a great hostess and made us feel right at home.  The views from the retreat were amazing.   Our room overlooked the beautiful mountains and of the night time its pure bliss to go out to the terrace and look up at the stars.

The retreat was extremely clean  and the bed was comfortable .

We cannot wait to re-visit Shambala Retreat again .  If you choose to stay here you definitely won't regret it.

WOW!  Where do I start??  Amazing location  set in the mountains which provides a truly peaceful atmosphere and stunning views.  Susie and Liz are perfect hosts with a wealth of knowledge about the local area as well as fabulous company, and the food was delicious :)

If you are a keen stargazer like myself you are in for a treat !  With no light pollution  the night sky comes alive with  so many stars you feel a real part of them as if you could reach out and grab them.. Telescope and binoculars were used A LOT.

The holisitc therapies  on offer are some of the best  I have ever experienced and much more affordable than back in England.  I am looking forward to  the week long courses that will be available in 2013 to, so thats another exciting reason  to go back.

Overall my visit to Shambala was a beautiful and amazing experience  which I HIGHLY recommend  to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat from the fast life as well as people interested in exploring  new places with historic cultures.  I'll be going back  MANY more times  in the near future, THANK YOU, SHAMBALA

Had a wonderful  week stay ing at Shambala Retreat  with Susie and Liz.  The location was beautiful and very peaceful.

The retreat itself was  very clean and had a calm energy ..  I had my first hopi ear candling experience  which was lovely and  definitely something I would  do again.

Susie and Liz  were excellent hosts  welcoming us into their home and taking us out  on trips to local beauty spots, beaches and historic towns which we certainly wouldn't have seen on a package tour.

The food provided  all week was fantastic  too!  Can't wait to come back and see you both again soon!!

Best wishes  and thank you for a fabulous week :)

I have stayed at Shambala  for some 6 weeks,  helping Susie with some gardening and other heavy chores.

During my stay Susie has been a wonderful hostess, the food has been excellent and the atmosphere in and around the house has been nothing short of magical.

We haven't worked everyday, and Susie has taken me  to various places where I have had the opportunity to take some truly amazing photographs.  The scenery even from the house is amazing.

All in all I would highly recommend  a stay at Shambala to anyone wishing to experience the REAL Spain or simply to relax in a wonderful tranquil place in the sun.
